Ty Louis Campbell Foundation + CODE GIVE873

When was the last time you jumped in a muddy puddle? Gave your child a piggyback ride to bed? Played with glitter? If you have to stop and think about it, it’s been too long! At least, that’s what Ty “SuperTy” Louis Campbell would probably tell you if he could. While SuperTy was alive, jumping into muddy puddles was one of his greatest joys, and if he were here today he would probably tell you to get out there, get downright messy, and have some fun in honor of those who can’t!

Too many children who can no longer jump in muddy puddles had to battle cancer during their all-too-brief lives. Though “childhood” and “brain tumor” are like water and oil and it seems inconceivable that they could ever coexist, brain tumors are in fact the most common and most fatal tumors found in children. SuperTy, also known as “the best good boy in the whole wide world,” battled one for half of his five years of life and along the way inspired countless people around the world to both make the most of their lives and rally against childhood cancer.

Inspired by the love of life that defined SuperTy, his family and friends founded the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation to fund research benefiting both children currently battling cancer and those who will battle it in the future. The TLC Foundation funds innovative studies and clinical trials aimed at treating the most aggressive childhood cancers. SuperTy’s super mom Cindy shares, “Our son died because the treatments available to children failed him, and there simply isn’t enough focus on discovering pathways to safer, more effective treatments specifically designed for children. We honor his memory by working to fulfill our promise to help bring safer, more effective treatment options to children with cancer.”
